Tip 1: Master the New Start Menu
Unlike its predecessors, Windows 11 offers a brand new Start Menu which now sits alongside a new centered taskbar. To access favorite apps or shutdown, simply click on the Windows logo in the middle of your taskbar. Make your Start Menu personal to you by right clicking on any app and selecting 'Pin to Start'. To unpin, follow the same process and press 'Unpin from Start'.
Tip 2: Utilize the Microsoft Store
Microsoft Store on Windows 11 has had a complete overhaul, receiving design renovations and performance improvements. To access the Store, click on the shopping bag icon labeled 'Microsoft Store' on your taskbar. You can search for and download various apps, some being Android apps, making the Microsoft Store a one stop shop for all software needs.
Tip 3: Snap Layouts and Snap Groups

To your taskbar's right, click on the rectangular box icon for Quick settings. Manage sound, brightness, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Next to it is the bell icon leading to all your notifications. You can clear all notifications or individually by clicking on 'Clear all' or the 'X' next to each notification.
Tip 6: Virtual Desktops
Windows 11 takes Virtual Desktops to a new level, offering individual wallpapers for each desktop. Click on the taskbar's rectangle with an inner rectangle icon. To create a new desktop, click '+' icon on the top left. To customize, hover over the desktop and click on the 3 dots that appear.
